Who he is: Agent Jasper Sitwell
His power: No superpowers, just a simple man trying to do what’s right—that is, if you think Hydra is right.
His Story: S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jasper Sitwell is introduced in Thor, monitoring the situation with Thor’s hammer in New Mexico and helping Phil Coulson commandeer all of Jane Foster’s research. He serves under Coulson throughout the events of that film, and also appears briefly in The Avengers, in which he helps Coulson track down Loki in Germany, and then serves aboard the Helicarrier, helping to regain control of the computer systems after Hawkeye’s attack. Sitwell‘s next appearances set up his final arc: First, he shows up in several episodes of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s first season, ostensibly to assist Coulson and S.H.I.E.L.D. on a mission to disable a powerful device, and also to look into a terrorist named the Clairvoyant. However, he was pulled away for a mission that appears in the beginning of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where he’s taken hostage aboard a ship. He’s revealed to be a Hydra agent, working with Senator Stern, and after telling the Captain about Hydra’s plan, he’s dispatched by the Winter Soldier, who throws him out of a moving car on the freeway.
Jasper Sitwell also appears in two Marvel One-Shots, The Consultant and Item 47. In the first, he and Coulson scheme to destroy the idea of releasing Emil Blonsky—The Abomination—from custody, and they succeed by harnessing the power of how much Tony Stark annoys General Ross. In the latter, he’s put in charge of tracking down the sole working Chitauri gun to survive the battle of New York, and the two bank robbers who got their hands on it. Rather than imprisoning them, however, Sitwell offers them positions as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Currently, Jasper Sitwell is: Presumably very dead. Head-on collisions with semi-trucks don’t often end well.
Where will we see him next? Never, barring some time travel or Phil Coulson-like back-from-the-dead scenario.
