His story: Matt Murdock’s college roommate and best friend, Foggy joined him when he refused a lucrative position at immoral law firm Landman And Zack. Instead, the two went into business together, struggling to remain optimistic in the face of Nelson And Murdock’s lack of clients. Shortly after founding, they became involved in the case of Karen Page, a woman who was accused of murdering a co-worker. Helping to exonerate her (and developing a small crush on her in the process), Nelson later hired Page as the firm’s secretary, and the two began investigating the Hell’s Kitchen conspiracy being masterminded by Wilson Fisk. Nelson’s faith in his best friend was badly shaken when he learned that Murdock was the mysterious Devil Of Hell’s Kitchen and had possessed heightened senses for the entirety of their friendship. The two eventually made up, though, in time to successfully bring Fisk down.

Moving forward, Nelson And Murdock became involved in the case of Frank Castle, a.k.a. The Punisher. Butting heads with district attorney Samantha Reyes over her suspicious treatment of the case, Nelson is eventually convinced to take a captured Castle on as a client. The trial initially goes well, with Nelson marshaling a strong opening statement after Murdock is absent from court. But Nelson’s continued concerns about the dangers of Daredevil’s vigilante lifestyle, and the frequent interference in the case by his partner’s double life, take their toll on the two men’s friendship. When Castle intentionally sabotages his own defense, Nelson blames Murdock; shortly after, with no viable clients, Nelson And Murdock closes its doors. On the strength of his performance in the Punisher case, Nelson is quickly recruited by the New York law firm of attorney Jeri Hogarth.

Played by: Elden Henson

Currently, Foggy Nelson is: Settling in at Hogarth, Chao And Benowitz, and almost certainly worried about his best friend, Matt.
